What is prevention?

What is prevention?

Cancer prevention is the action taken to reduce the likelihood of cancer. In the United States, more than 1.6 million cancer patients will be diagnosed in 2017. In addition to emotional distress due to physical problems and cancer, high cost of care is also a burden for patients, their families and the public, by preventing cancer, the number of new cases of cancer decreases. Hopefully, this will reduce the burden of cancer and reduce the number of cancer deaths.

Cancer is not a single disease, but there is a group of related diseases. Many things in our genes, our lifestyle and the surroundings of our surroundings can reduce or decrease our risk of cancer.

Scientists are studying several different ways to help stop the following cancers:
  • Ways to avoid or control things caused by cancer
  • Changes in diet and lifestyle
  • Precancerous conditions that can be cancerous may be conditions before anterior conditions.
  • Chemoprevention (to treat cancer of a precancerous condition to keep the cancer from the beginning)
  • Risk Reduction Surgery
